Recycling Container Loan

Recycling containers are available for Washington County residents to borrow for collecting bottles and cans at small, single-day gatherings such as graduation parties, family reunions, block parties, or similar events. The recycling containers fold down for easy transport and storage. Each bag holds up to 200 mixed bottles and cans. (Extra bags are provided.)

Reserve a Recycling Container

• Provide 5 days advance notice. Container reservations are made on a first come, first served basis and are especially popular in the summer.
• Fill out and submit the Online Reservation Form. 
• You will receive an email confirming bin availability and pickup details.
• Pick up locations include: 
  • North Environmental Center - Forest Lake
  • South Environmental Center - Woodbury
  • Stillwater Government Center - Room 4600 

Return Instructions

• Empty the bag of recyclables into your curbside recycling cart or recycling dumpster, or take to an Environmental Center during open business hours. Plastic bags cannot be recycled. Empty contents and place plastic bag in the trash. 
• Clean and return the containers to the same location no later than the date indicated on the confirmation email.
