  4. Fitness Hike in Washington County Parks

    July 26, 2018, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Nordic Center

    One-hour hikes involve a warm-up and fitness challenges along the way. Trails are a mix of turf, gravel, grass, snow and pavement depending on trail conditions, time of year and location. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early. If light rain,the hike will go on as scheduled. The program is for those ages 13 and older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  1. Sunset Stand Up Paddelboard

    July 24, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Square Lake Park

    Experience a sunset paddle on beautiful, serene Square Lake, located in northern Stillwater, known for it's water clarity. Class size is limited and registration is required for all SUP programs; participants must be 14-plus years old and able to swim. All minors must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them. All equipment is provided by Brown Dog Paddle Board Co. Dress for the weather and water activity.

  2. Yoga in the Park

    July 26, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Lake Elmo Park Reserve

    Tune into the sights and sounds of nature and release stress through guided yoga sequences designed to improve balance, flexibility, breath awareness and muscle tone. This is open to all levels. Dress for outdoor yoga, bring a mat, water and arrive 5-10 minutes early. In the case of rain or inclement weather, class will be held at the Nordic Center (check the website for updates or call the office). Registration is required for Outdoor Yoga. A discount outdoor yoga season pass is available for $75/person; otherwise, each individual class is $7/person + a vehicle permit. Vehicle permits are not included in the class or pass price.

    Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day, join area naturalists at outdoor park amphitheaters for a variety of engaging nature programs. Each program runs 45 minutes and will present live creatures, facts, and/or exhibits for hands-on, family learning. Program topics include animal adaptations, bats, bird banding, bugs, dragonflies, frogs, hawks, owls, snakes, raptors, wolves, and much more!
