The Road Maintenance Section of the Transportation Division has many responsibilities. These responsibilities provide year-round maintenance to our County highway system.
Maintenance on the County's 274-mile highway system
Clear snow and ice from roadways
Pave and patch roadways
Re-grade gravel shoulders
Repair and replace culverts and storm sewers
Repair damaged guardrail
Control weeds and mow within the County right of way (

Washington County follows the spring weight restriction dates set by MnDOT. The dates vary depending on frost and weather conditions.
